He began his career by launching his YouTube channel on May 13, 2012, at which point he was 18 years old and fresh out of high school. He uploaded his first YouTube video, “How to correctly make a sandwich. But without the mess!”, the same day he launched the channel. 

Initially, he made content around messing with unsuspecting strangers on the internet, so much so that it earned him the title of ‘Australia’s Worst Cyberbully.’ But, anyway, he discovered his passion for comedy, so he now does comedic content.

Controversy 

When he first began his content creation career, Lewis Spears got into controversy for pulling an ‘April Fool’s Day’ prank, on the media in April of 2014. Now, he alleged that Castle Hill High School had been burned down, and tell you what? It blew up that the Australian police placed him under investigation over what they termed ‘his extreme prank’. 

He pulled another prank on the media in  2021, where he tricked the popular Canadian-American magazine, VICE, to run a fake story. For whatever it’s worth, VICE is so big that they have nearly 20 million followers on YouTube and over 5 million followers on Instagram. 

In a YouTube video, he uploaded on March 24, 2021, titled, “I Tricked VICE Into Running a Fake Story. It Went Viral,” he explained how he managed to trick the magazine into running a half-baked story he shared.
