For what itʼs worth, we fact-checked the report now claiming that Karl Jacobs is gay, and here’s what we found: Karl from Mr Beast, though has been public about his support for the LGBTQ+ community, has not identified himself as gay. 

We did a lil more research and found that he, for the most part, identifies as asexual. He has his pronouns, ‘he/him, on his Instagram bio, so that is also a marker — there might be a coming out story later in the future — or NOT. But, one thing is sure, Karl is comfortable in his own skin and well, in touch with his feminine side.

Karl Jacobs, whose full name is Karl Thomas Jacobs, born July 19, 1998, and now aged 26 years, is an American gamer, Twitch streamer, YouTube creator, and Instagram influencer from New York. He lived in Portland, Oregon, U.S., for most of his life but relocated to North Carolina. 

From our findings, his best friend and fellow Twitch streamer, Foolish Gamers, moved in with him in August 2022 and they lived together. But, whether or not they still live together in January 2025 is not known. However, we can confirm that they are still good friends. 

Also known as GamerBoyKarl, Karl rose to fame as a member of MrBeast’s on-screen cast. He began appearing on Mr Beast’s YouTube channel in 2020, at which point he was 21 years old, and from our findings, he began his career officially in 2020. 

OK. Karl Jacobs launched his YouTube channel on September 11, 2020, and posted his first YouTube video, “I Hunted LazarBeam on Dream SMP!,” on December 3, 2020, so that makes sense. For what it’s worth, his content is around Minecraft content and he has been represented by Night Media Talent Agency. 

Meanwhile, is a co-host of the Banter podcast with Minecraft YouTubers, Sapnap and GeorgeNotFound. OK. He and Sapnap originally launched the Banter podcast in September 2021 and then, GeorgeNotFound joined them as the third host of the podcast on August 6, 2022.

We found that he worked as a review writer and editor at GameTZ.com from February 2014 and June 2017 — that’s before he began doing social media content for a day job and the subsequent social media fame. Meanwhile, Karl Jacobs was said to have worked as a salesman at Starlite Gaming from May to August 2016.

Is Karl Jacobs Gay? 

Karl Jacobs has come out as asexual and identifies with he/him pronouns. However, he has also been rumored to be gay. But, that’s just a rumor. Still, we found that he is an ally and an avid supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. 

He was previously alleged to have a thing with Chris from MrBeast. For what it’s worth, Chris is openly bisexual and was previously married to a biological woman whom he has since separated from. Now, a Reddit thread entitled “What’s going on with Chris and Karl from Mr. Beast group?,” gave a thorough response to that and was quoted as noting;

“Meanwhile, Karl is not gay but looks naturally feminine and has described his sexuality as ‘close to asexual’. Some portions of the fanbase believe that Karl has ‘turned Chris gay’, branding it as ‘The Karl Effect’. However, this is just a misinformed rumor started by homophobic users on TikTok, so there actually isn’t anything ‘going on’ between them.”

“I check. we’ll do a high check at some point. are they dating? no, we’re both straight. we’re both straight guys. just painting nails.” 

Karl hinting that he and Sapnap aren’t dating nor engaged nor are they gay.
