Confirmed: Man City and Brentford have now submitted lineup ahead of tonightʼs clash

Manchester City return to Premier League action with a crucial away match against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Tuesday night.

After enduring a difficult spell during which they won only once in 13 matches across November and December, Pep Guardiola’s side appears to have regained form, securing victories in all three of their most recent fixtures.

Now, this match against Brentford is the first of three consecutive away games for Manchester City, with a visit to Ipswich Town on Sunday and a crucial UEFA Champions League clash with PSG to follow.

According to the latest reports, Guardiola’s squad has improved injury-wise, with Oscar Bobb now back in first-team training and Ederson having started in the FA Cup tie against Salford City.

However, key players remain unavailable: Rodri, Ruben Dias, and John Stones are sidelined through injury, and Kyle Walker continues to be absent amid transfer rumors linking him with a move to AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Guardiola has named Stefan Ortega Moreno in goal for this match, with Nunes, Akanji, Ake, and Gvardiol forming the defense.

In midfield, Kovacic, De Bruyne—who will captain the side—and Bernardo Silva are all set to start, while Foden, Haaland, and Savinho lead the attack.

On the bench, Ederson, Lewis, Simpson-Pusey, O’Reilly, Gundogan, McAtee, Grealish, Doku, and Mubama provide further options.

Brentford, meanwhile, will be eager to bounce back after suffering a shock 1-0 loss to Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup third round.

Thomas Frank has made his selection for the game, with Flekken in goal and Roerslev, Collins, van den Berg, and Lewis-Potter forming the defensive line.

Norgaard, Janelt, and Jensen will operate in midfield, while Damsgaard, Mbeumo, and Wissa will feature in attack. Frank’s substitutes include Valdimarsson, Henry, Schade, Carvalho, Mee, Yarmoliuk, Konak, Maghoma, and Ji-soo.

With both sides in contrasting recent forms, this Premier League clash is poised to be a tense encounter as Manchester City look to continue their recovery, while Brentford aim to put their FA Cup disappointment behind them.
