BREAKING: Man City AGREE deal with Frankfurt for Marmoush transfer

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, marking their third major signing of the January transfer window. The prolific forward has been on Pep Guardiola’s radar for weeks, with negotiations reportedly proving intense before finally culminating in a deal.

According to reports from RMC Sport, City have also settled personal terms with Marmoush, and the 25-year-old is now expected to miss Frankfurt’s upcoming clash against Dortmund to finalize his move to the Premier League champions.

While the exact fee remains undisclosed, Frankfurt initially demanded €80 million, with City previously offering €50 million before agreeing on terms closer to the German club’s valuation.

Marmoush’s form this season has been nothing short of exceptional, with the forward recording 15 goals and 9 assists in just 17 Bundesliga appearances.

His performances rank him second only to Mohamed Salah in total goal contributions across Europe’s top leagues, and City will hope he can replicate his compatriot’s impact in England.

This signing comes alongside advanced talks to secure two defenders: Abdoukodir Khusanov from Lens and Palmeiras starlet Victor Reis. If completed, the trio of transfers will see City spend well over €120 million this month as they seek to reinforce their squad following a recent dip in form.

City’s activity follows a relatively quiet summer where they signed Savinho for €25 million and brought in Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer.

However, with veteran Kyle Walker signaling his intent to leave and a potential need for midfield reinforcements, Guardiola’s January business may not yet be finished.

Marmoush’s arrival is seen as a statement of intent, with the Egyptian forward expected to bring a fresh attacking spark to City’s lineup.

Fans will eagerly anticipate how quickly he can adapt to Guardiola’s system as the club looks to regain momentum in their pursuit of silverware.
