BREAKING: Boost for Real Madrid as Liverpool consider €25m move for Alexander-Arnold replacement
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Trent Alexander-Arnold has received a potential boost as Liverpool consider making moves for his replacement, Joshua Kimmich.
Although Los Blancos remain confident of signing the Englishman on a free transfer this summer, recent events have increased their desire to expedite the deal and bring him to the Santiago Bernabéu this January.

As per Sky Sport France, Liverpool have already initiated contact with Kimmich’s entourage and are prepared to bid €25 million to secure his services during this window.
If Liverpool successfully land Kimmich, it could pave the way for Real Madrid to make a similar €25 million bid for Alexander-Arnold this month. The potential double move would not only resolve Liverpool’s right-back dilemma but also allow Real Madrid to address their defensive needs immediately, following their humbling Super Cup defeat to Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid face another setback as their appeal to overturn Vinícius Jr.’s two-match La Liga suspension was rejected. The Brazilian forward was shown a red card during a heated altercation with Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski, an incident that led to widespread debate over the officiating. Despite the club’s protests, the Competitions Committee upheld the ban.
Consequently, Vinícius will miss crucial league fixtures against Las Palmas and Real Valladolid. However, he remains eligible for the Copa del Rey clash with Celta Vigo and the UEFA Champions League tie against RB Salzburg.
